Cultivate

I was doing my instagram series called I'm bored... so lets talk. I was talking to my delegation sister, Kayla when we spoke about all God rewarded us with when we truly walked by faith. It got me to thinking a bit. I remember the time when I was at my lowest. I didn't have a job, I didn't know how my bills was going to be paid, and I was truly walking by faith and at that time I was the most closest to God than I ever have been. In the moment when I realized this I asked "God, why would you give me a full time job that you knew would drain me, that you knew and pull me from you.... was this your doing?" & as I was driving later in the day He responded clear as day "I'm trying to teach you how to cultivate a space for My presence in any environment".

It's so easy to cultivate the space when you are by yourself, when you distant yourself from everybody, when everything is going your way. It's easy to cultivate the space when you have nothing going on but to sit at the feet of Jesus all day, but how easy is it when everything around you is going wrong? How easy is it to cultivate the space when your boss is getting on your nerves and your emotionally drained. When you have to force yourself to get up earlier to make time for Him. It's not the easiest. When you don't know if your coming or going, when hell is breaking loose and distractions are everywhere. Distraction causes spaces where cultivating that environment may seem impossible. I thought it was impossible, but I was reminded that all things are possible with God, but we have to cultivate a space for His precsence in any environment.

"Do you know that you are the temple of God and that the spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are."

I Corinthians 3:16-17 NKJV
